Enjoy an authentic country inn experience at the Castle Hotel in the picturesque village of Eynsford.
Originally known as the Harrow Inn, the building dates back to the early 19th century, with the first record of the Castle Hotel in 1904.
It has been stylishly decorated while retaining original features, and boasts seven individually designed bedrooms, along with a comfortable bar area for drinking and dining, cosy Library Room and 40-seater restaurant.
The Castle Hotel is a family business, run by husband and wife Sharon and Gordon Thompson with help from their daughter Elizabeth and partner Jacob.
It is renowned for its food, serving a delicious menu of traditional and contemporary main meals and smaller dishes using the finest locally sourced ingredients. Customers wishing to treat themselves can indulge in the Castle’s popular High Tea. Enjoy a delicious selection of dainty sandwiches, followed by cakes and warm scones with fresh strawberries, double cream and jam. Choose from a selection of tea and coffee, or spoil yourself with a glass of Prosecco or Champagne.
Food is served from 12 noon to 9pm, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 9pm on Saturday, and 8am to 4pm on Sunday.
In addition to its extensive food offer, the Castle Hotel serves a wide range of drinks. Along with traditional Kentish Ales Master Brew and Bishops Finger, customers can enjoy the new Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale, Whitstable Bay Black Stout and a selection of contemporary lagers including Whitstable Bay Blonde, Spitfire, Cinque Five Grain and its own Castle Lager. Shepherd Neame’s popular new Orchard View cider is also available, along with a comprehensive selection of wines and spirits.
