Pub of the Week: The Britannia, Hythe
The Britannia is a traditional coastal country pub, situated outside Hythe in the small village of Seabrook, just a 20 minute stroll from the seafront.
It’s the perfect setting for a relaxing pint or a hearty pub lunch before heading off to enjoy the boutique shops, beautiful beaches and intriguing architecture of Hythe itself.
Inside, there’s a spacious bar area, with plenty of tables for dining, and ample seating outside for warmer days.
On the bar you’ll find a good choice of cask ales, lagers, wines and all your other favourites. On the menu there’s everything from bar snacks and light bites to hearty traditional classics. On Wednesdays, there’s a hot buffet for quiz night (booking required), and on Sundays a very popular roast.
There’s lots going on at The Britannia, with a weekly Wednesday quiz, live music, theme nights and charity fundraisers.
