Pub of the Week: The Beau Nash, Tunbridge Wells
The Beau Nash is a hidden gem in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
This quaint, traditional pub offers great food, drink and hospitality, less than five minutes’ walk from the busy town centre.
Dating back to the late 1800s, the Beau Nash boasts original features including wood-panelled walls, stained glass windows and church-pew seating, along with a roaring open fire during winter months. When the weather is fine, customers can soak up the sun in the pub’s large garden.
It is the perfect place to enjoy a proper pint, with local beers Harvey’s Sussex Best Bitter and Shepherd Neame’s Spitfire Amber Kentish Ale currently available on draught, along with Guinness, international lagers Fosters, Amstel and Kronenbourg. It also serves a wide range of bottled craft beers, Symonds Cider and a choice selection of premium wines and spirits, including several speciality gins.
There’s also great food on offer, with a delicious selection of snacks and pub classics to choose from. Food is served from noon to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, from noon to 4pm on Saturday and from noon to 6pm on Sunday.
And if you’re looking for entertainment, the Beau Nash offers live music every Saturday from 9pm, a soul night on the last Friday of the month, an open mic night on the first Sunday of the month, and a quiz every Tuesday at 8.30pm.
The pub is open from 12 noon to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, and from 12 noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
