KENT CHEFS TEAM UP FOR THE ULTIMATE FUNDRAISING DINNER

Head chef and licensee Rob Taylor from the Compasses Inn, Crundale, is among a group of acclaimed Kent chefs joining forces for The Ultimate Pop Up fundraising dinner.
 
The event is taking place at the Hush Heath Estate in Staplehurst on Thursday, June 20.
 
Guests will enjoy a bespoke six course menu prepared by a team of top chefs including:
- Kent Chef of the Year winner Will Devlin of The Small Holding in Cranbrook
- Scott Goss, former Great British Menu contestant and head chef at Verdigris in Tonbridge
- Bobby Brown, former head chef at The Kentish Hare in Bidborough and MasterChef the Professionals contestant
- Jamie Tandoh of The Bicycle Bakery in Tunbridge Wells
- Robert Marshall, chef proprietor of The Wheelwright Arms in Matfield
- Hush Heath chef Fabio Vinicguerra
 
The evening will kick off with a cocktail specially crafted by Tammy Jackson of For Cocktail Sake with gin donated by local distillery Greensand Ridge.
 
Tickets are £85, with proceeds going to children's charity Tree of Hope.
 
Rob has run the Shepherd Neame-owned Compasses Inn with wife Donna since 2012. Since then it has been awarded two prestigious AA Rosettes and a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and was named Best Food Pub at last year’s Great British Pub Awards. He said: "It will be a privilege to work alongside of some of Kent's best chefs for the night. It's amazing to be in a position to be able to help raise money for a fantastic charity by doing what I love!"
