ENJOY FANTASTIC FOOD AT A FANTASTIC PRICE
Christmas can be an expensive time, so if you’re looking for a delicious dinner that won’t break the bank, head along to the Three Mariners in Oare.
The Shepherd Neame pub, situated in a village outside Faversham, has just launched a new Early Evening Menu for Two. Enjoy complimentary bread on arrival, two mains and a glass of house wine or beer for just £20. The offer is available from 6pm to 7pm, Monday to Thursday.
Customers can also enjoy the new Fish and Fizz Fridays, offering a complimentary glass of sparkling wine with any dish from the fish board.
And if you’re after lunchtime dining, the pub’s popular Walkers Menu, priced £16.95 for three courses, is still available from 12 noon to 3pm, Monday to Saturday.
Licensee Justin Prior said:
“The Three Mariners already boasted a great reputation for its food when we took it on in June last year, so our aim has been to continue building on that and find new ways to exceed our customers’ expectations. The pub’s Walkers Menu was in place before we got here and has always been a big draw, so we decided to come up with some new offers of our own. We want to deliver consistently good food at good prices. ”
Head chef Ryan Tasker joined the Three Mariners in January this year, and has a wealth of experience including working as head chef for a two AA Rosette hotel restaurant and teaching at Canterbury College.
His team uses local ingredients wherever possible, so the specials change daily to reflect seasonal influences. They make all dishes from scratch, including baking their own bread each day. Justin also invested in a smoker for the pub, so they are able to smoke and carve their own meats and fish.
Father-of-two Justin, who lives in nearby Eastling, said:
“The pub boasts an amazing location, close to the coast and also surrounded by countryside, so Ryan and his team have a wealth of fantastic local produce to choose from.”
And even if you don’t want to stop for food, the Three Mariners is a cosy spot for a drink. Curl up by the roaring open fire and choose from the extensive wine list or selection of beers from the nearby Shepherd Neame brewery, located just a mile away.
Due to its location, the pub is particularly popular with dog walkers, as they are welcome in the bar, and free dog biscuits are available.
Justin added:
“We are passionate about food and drink, and want to share that with our customers and deliver the ‘wow’ factor. We have a fantastic team in place and hope that these new food offers will help encourage customers old and new to come and find us and discover what we have to offer.”
Lunch is served from 12 noon to 3pm, Monday to Saturday. Dinner is served from 6pm to 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday, when there is a choice of roast.
