Award-Winning Pub to Host Wine Tasting Event

Shepherd Neame’s Wine Pub of the Year, The Shakespeare in Canterbury, is hosting a Wine Tasting evening on Thursday, September 11.

The city centre pub, run by Gareth Finney and Dan Sidders, received the honour at the recent annual Shepherd Neame Pub Awards.

Judges praised its exceptional staff knowledge and the introduction of innovative ‘wine flights’ tastings, which have resulted in sales growth of 500%.

To celebrate the award, The Shakespeare is holding a Wine Tasting evening, hosted by its sommelier Leighton Roberts.

Guests will enjoy a glass of Prosecco on arrival followed by three red and three white wines, accompanied by a selection of tapas.
