Pub of the Week: The Plough, Farnham
The Plough Inn is a newly refurbished, vibrant and welcoming pub situated in the beautiful town centre of Farnham in Surrey.
New tenants Caroline and Brodie recently won the ‘New Licensee Award’ at the Shepherd Neame Pub Awards 2017, in recognition of the successful introduction of their new concept for the pub as a live music and street food venue.
In little over a year, the pair have taken their passion for music and instilled it in the pub, which is now well known for its thriving music scene, including Brodie’s house band, established acts, and jam sessions on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.
Inside, the pub is comfortable and spacious, with ample seating including comfy armchairs to settle into. Outside, there is a large walled garden to enjoy, plus a heated patio area so you can sit out even on those cooler summer evenings.
The menu offers a tempting selection of Mexican Street Food served Wednesday to Saturday, then an indulgent roast on Sundays or, on sunnier days, a BBQ in the garden. From the street food menu, enjoy tacos, quesadillas or a substantial three course meal, all carefully crafted from the best fresh ingredients.
On the bar you’ll find a choice of cask ales, lagers, ciders, and wines from around the world as well as all the usual spirits and soft drinks.
Everyone is welcome at The Plough, so bring your friends, family, even the dog, and come along and enjoy good music, and tasty Mexican food.
