Pub of the Week: The East India Arms, London
The East India Arms is located on Fenchurch Street in central London, next to the former headquarters of the East India Company.
The current pub was built in 1829, although there has been a pub on the site since around 1630. The handsome, four-storey red brick Georgian building is now the oldest building in the Lloyd's Avenue Conservation Area.
Inside you'll find a traditional pub, with wooden floors, comfortable furnishings, and a selection of old photos on the wall. On warmer days, there’s a small outside seating area to enjoy a quiet drink as you watch the world go by.
Based in the heart of London’s financial district, the pub is the perfect bolt hole for a post-work pint, but it’s also a short walk from the Tower of London, Shard and London Bridge Experience, so why not combine a visit with a spot of sightseeing?
