About this role

We currently employ around 1,500 staff across our retail estate, which comprises more than 70 busy outlets across London and the South East, serving over a million meals each year. Our ever growing portfolio ranges from characterful pubs in London’s West End and The City, to large seafront hotels in Kent, with a diverse range of sites in between. 

We are looking for dynamic General Managers to join our successful team. You will be responsible for every aspect of your business, managing the commercial and operational strategy and performance of the site and motivating and inspiring your team to serve our customers with excellence, energy and enthusiasm.                Meet some of our managers

Rachel Webb, General Manager of The Boathouse, Yalding

Experienced hospitality manager Rachel swapped life at a large pub and restaurant in busy Bexleyheath for the more tranquil setting of riverside Shepherd Neame pub The Boathouse in May 2023. Rachel, 40, has worked in the industry since her teens and was running large teams for national pub companies when she realised that she wanted to get back to a more personal approach.

Zoran Beasley, General Manager of The Singleton Barn, Ashford

Zoran, who grew up in Ashford, worked at The Singleton Barn for 10 years before taking on the role of General Manager in August 2023.  Zoran, 47, went into the hospitality business at the age of 18, starting on cruise ships then as a wedding planner and restaurant manager, before moving to pubs. He grew up in Ashford and has built fantastic relationships with local residents and businesses during his time with the pub, ensuring it is at the heart of its community.

Hannah McDonough, General Manager of The Evenhill, Littlebourne

It is the first General Manager role for 27-year-old Hannah, who began running The Evenhill in March 2023.  Born in Ramsgate, she began working part-time in hospitality when studying at university in Manchester and later returned to Kent, joining Shepherd Neame in 2019, initially working as Assistant Manager at the Royal Albion Hotel then progressing to become Acting General Manager at the coastal hotel in 2022 before moving to The Evenhill.
