We’ve devised a series of dishes to celebrate prized British asparagus, which enjoys a short six to eight week season here in the UK.
Asparagus thrives best in a temperate spring, not too much sun or rain, with each delicious spear harvested by hand.
As well as being delicious, asparagus is seriously good for you. This spring superhero contains vitamin C, vitamin K and is high in antioxidants, so you can enjoy our delicious seasonal asparagus dishes guilt-free.
Served in a selection of our pubs (see below), they include simple dishes such as asparagus with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce, through to more indulgent pairings, like asparagus with basil pesto and burrata.
SUMMER SALAD Enjoy our colourful chargrilled asparagus summer salad with chargrilled courgettes. soft boiled egg, semi dried tomatoes, dressed roquette leaves, & heritage tomato salsa on sourdough toast.
KING SCALLOPS In this dish, gently chargrilled asparagus pairs perfectly with pan fried king scallops in a shallot, chilli & roasted garlic butter. Delicious!
