Pub of the Week: The Crown Inn, Keston
The Crown Inn sits in the pretty hamlet of Leaves Green, close to both the village of Westerham and the bustling shopping mecca of Bromley.
The pub is Grade II listed and a popular venue for wedding receptions and other functions, both large and more intimate. It also boasts a beautiful beer garden.
Throughout the winter months there is a roaring real fire and live music is a popular feature on Saturday evenings.
All meat and vegetables are sourced locally with the exception of steak, which comes from the acclaimed Scottish company Donald Russell Butchers.
The popular bar menu features a selection of sandwiches alongside more substantial dishes, and there is also an extensive grazing menu in addition to separate menus designed for children and lunching senior citizens.The Sunday lunch menu features a number of traditional roast options, including sirloin of beef, rump of British lamb and also a vegan nut, spinach and mushroom roast.
Pouring at the bar is a varied selection of wine, spirits and premium beers from Britain’s oldest brewery.
