Love Sunday roasts but fancy something different this weekend? We suggest 6 pubs which offer something a little different from your meat and two veg.
1. Ye Olde Beverlie, Canterbury
A stunning old pub in beautiful St Stephen’s Green, Ye Olde Beverlie has its roots in the history of Canterbury - but its heart most definitely belongs to Mexico! Enjoy sizzling fajitas, ribs, steaks, burritos and nachos. Veggies and young diners are catered for too, and if it’s a traditional roast you’re after, that’s served on Sundays too, so everyone’s happy.

2. Fish on the Green, Bearsted
Fish on the Green in Bearsted is one of Kent’s best seafood restaurants, listed in the Michelin Guide and the proud holder of two AA Rosettes. In addition to fresh fish and shellfish, the menu also offers at least two non-fish dishes and a vegetarian option. We’d go for the Roasted Fillet of Hake on wilted spinach with tomato and chickpea salsa and sauté potatoes. Mmm.

6. The Monument, Canterbury
The Monument is Kent's only 100% vegan pub, serving local ales, craft beers, premium cocktails and an amazing all-vegan menu. With such substantial, crowd-pleasing dishes such as doner kebab, battered farmhouse style sausage, creamy mushroom pie, a big choice of topped burgers and lots of puds, veggies and vegans in the family will love it, and we’re pretty sure the meat eaters won’t leave hungry, either.
