Pub of the Week: Pier Five, Chatham

It only opened last year, but contemporary riverside bar and kitchen Pier Five is already proving one of our most popular destinations.

Located in a stylish new building in the Chatham Maritime marina, it boasts extensive waterfront seating offering panoramic views across the River Medway, perfect for the summer. 

In addition to its unique location, customers have been flocking to Pier Five to enjoy its delicious menu of gourmet burgers, superfood salads, flame-licked chicken and hand-stretched oven-baked pizzas. The menu is available from 12 noon to 9pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 10pm Friday to Saturday, and 9am to 9pm on Sunday.

Brunch is also served from 9am to 2pm Thursday to Sunday, ranging from the traditional Full English to modern classics such as Avocado on Toasted Sourdough and an Eggs Florentine bagel.

Pier Five offers an exciting drinks range, including a diverse selection of premium draught and bottled beers. Local brews currently on draught include Pier Five East Coast Lager, Pier Five East Coast Pale Ale, Whitstable Bay Black Stout, Whitstable Bay Red IPA and Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale. The popular Camden Hells Lager and Hop House 13 Lager are also available on tap, along with international lagers Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Mahou and Birra Moretti. 

Ciders available on draught include Orchard View and Angry Orchard, and you can also choose from a selection of craft spirits and classic cocktails, along with a carefully chosen wine list and fresh artisan coffees.
