An historic pub in the heart of the cathedral city of Canterbury has a fresh new look.
Ye Olde Beverlie, dating back to 1570, has just undergone a stylish refurbishment, including repainting throughout, reupholstering the furniture and introducing new artwork and other décor.
The pub is renowned for its delicious food, specialising in Mexican-inspired cuisine including sizzling fajitas, burritos, nachos and chilli beef dishes. There’s a wide selection of delicious British dishes as well, with classics like Beer Battered Cod and Chips along with Kentish Ribeye Steak from the grill. And if you have a sweet tooth, you will be spoilt for choice with the enticing collection of puddings including a giant ice cream sundae - if you think you can manage it! The family-friendly pub also offers a special Young Diners menu.
Head chef Ashley and his team serve food from 12 noon to 2.30pm and 6pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday; 12 noon to 10pm on Saturday; and 12 noon to 9.30pm on Sunday.
To celebrate the pub’s new look, a special Buy One Get One Free offer on Fajitas is currently available to returning customers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Don’t forget to pick up your voucher when you’re in, ready for use on your next visit.
Ye Olde Beverlie is also a great destination for a drink. The pub always serves Kentish Ale Master Brew along with one other guest ale, currently Spitfire Gold. There is also a new range of draught products available, including Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale and Cinque Five Grain Premium Lager, along with Spitfire Lager, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Carlsberg Export, Guinness and Orchard View cider. If the sun is shining, why not relax in the pub’s charming beer garden?
For trivia buffs, a quiz night is held every Monday from 8pm, with entry priced £1 per person. There is also live music from 5pm to 7pm on the second Sunday of every month.
