Pub of the Week: The Foresters Arms, Tonbridge
The Foresters Arms is a laid-back pub in Tonbridge town centre, offering a friendly welcome and homely hospitality, pool tables and games, and some of the best pizza in town.
Landlord Tyson was recently awarded ‘Turnaround Pub of the Year’Award at the Shepherd Neame Pub Awards, in recognition of the hard work he has put in over the last 18 months refurbishing and reimagining the pub, giving it a whole new identity and turning it into the successful and popular local it is today.
Inside, the pub is spacious and airy, with ample seating, and quirky vintage décor. There is a darts board, pool table, and table football, as well as board games scattered around the pub for customers to enjoy.
Outside there is a pleasant courtyard to the rear, with covered area, and a recently added front garden, ideal for watching the world go by.
On the menu is a range of authentic pizzas baked in a specialist oven, with toppings including Margherita, Hawaiian and Pepperoni, along with Tyson's special Electric Banana, with Nutella and banana. Pizza is available anytime the pub is open, and can also be ordered to take away.
On the bar you will find a choice of quality cask ales, lagers, cider and wines from around the world, plus prosecco and cocktails.
Close to transport links and shops, it’s the ideal stop off while shopping, for a post-work pint, or weekend meet up with friends. On Sundays there is an extra-relaxed atmosphere, with Motown and reggae music on the sound system.
