Pub of the Week: The Manor Farm Barn, Southfleet
The Manor Farm Barn is a beautifully restored 18th century barn in Southfleet, in the borough of Dartford, serving delicious food and award winning ales and lagers.
The building itself has some stunning features, including a thatched roof, exposed oak beams, and dramatic high ceiling. The pub underwent a refurbishment project at the end of 2016, which included a full redecoration, new furniture, lighting and addition of a pizza oven in the kitchen.
Outside there is a large patio garden with seating for over 100 people where barbecues are held regularly throughout the summer.
On their extensive menu you will find something for all tastes and appetites. There are sandwiches and small plates for nibbles with drinks, hearty tasty pub classics, and a range of chef’s favourites for something a little bit different. The pub also specialise in chargrill, offering prime cuts cooked to order and gourmet burgers, as well as handmade stone baked pizzas. Save room for desserts such as irresistible chocolate churros, or the Manor Farm giant sundae cup – you might want two spoons! There is also a special menu for young diners.
On the bar you’ll find all your usual favourites, including a choice of well-kept cask ales, lagers, cider, and world wines, plus a good choice of soft drinks.
