Pub of the week: The Cask & Glass, London
Thought to be the smallest pub in central London, the Cask & Glass offers respite from the busy London streets and a welcome alternative to the nearby big chain venues. This tiny traditional pub oozes British pub charm, with a cosy interior and tables outside where, given the size of the pub, customers often gather to chat with friends over a post-work pint.
Recommended in the Good Beer Guide 2016, the Cask & Glass is known for serving quality cask ales in tip-top condition. On the bar you’ll find a choice of ales as well as lager, cider, wines and all your favourite tipples.
They also offer a menu of delicious toasted sandwiches at lunchtime, served on fresh bloomer bread. What could be better for a quick lunch than a hot cheese and ham toastie and a pint of your favourite ale?
Known as ‘The Queen’s Local’, the pub is around the corner from Buckingham Palace and Westminster Cathedral, so it is ideal for combining with a sightseeing trip, theatre visit, or just for a pint with friends on your way home.
